The commitment of
Atresmedia Televisión
with self- regulation in terms
of child-related matters is evidenced in its subscription to the Code of
Self-Regulation on TV and Infant Contents, ensuring the suitability of TV
contents for children during time slots provided for it. In 2013, another
step was taken with the remodelling of the website
which facilitates the interactionwith viewers.
On the other hand,
Atresmedia Televisión
is a subscriber of the PAOS
Code, which regulates advertising of food and beverages aimed at chil-
dren and teenagers up to 15years of age, inorder toprevent obesity and
promote healthyhabits.
Involvement in thedevelopment of publicpolicies
Atresmedia
is actively involved in the leadingdiscussionsof the segment
regarding thedevelopment of publicpolicies andother relevant aspects.
Digital dividend spectrum
release process
AtresmediaTelevisión
isworking so that, during the
radio electric spectrum releaseprocess toprovidegreater
broadband capacity, andon completion, citizens continue to
enjoy the current TVportfolio through theDVB-T receivers.
HDTV
AtresmediaTelevisión
has committed for HDTV, offering the
content of itsmain channels to citizenswith this technology.
Support for Spanishfilm
sector
Atresmedia
, in linewith the rest of the audiovisual sector,
defends that the activityof TV stations strengthens the
Spanishmovie industry and, therefore, is contrary to the
mandatory ‘investment quota’ tofinance theproductionof
movies. It therefore expects theConstitutional Tribunal will
rule favorably to the thesis of privateoperators, after the
SupremeCourt inquired regarding the constitutionalityof this
quota.
At present,

is involved in the
Commission for thedefinitionof a newmovie financing
model, constitutedon initiativeof theMinistryof Culture.
Financingof publicTV
Atresmedia
understands that publicTVmust obtain its
credibility and strength throughpublic service andnot
through the saleof commercial spaces. It therefore firmly
supportsAct 8/2009, financingof CorporaciónRTVE, which
forbids obtaining income frombroadcasting commercial
messages.
AtresmediaTelevisión
maintains its activity, both individually
and throughUTECA, to ensure true rationalizationof the
publicTV sector as awhole.
More transparency
in collective rights
management
Atresmedia
isworking to ensure that the initiative, at
present inpre-parliament processing, for themodification
of the Intellectual PropertyAct deepens on the need for
transparencyof collective intellectual property rights
management entities.
With this objective, thegrouphas presented the
corresponding allegations on the various draft projects both
with theMinistries of Culture, Industry andEconomy, and
before theCouncil of State, andwill continue towork in this
senseduring theparliamentaryprocessingof thedraft Act.
