is maintaining its commitment to own brand initi-
atives in the two areas where its experience has been concentrated in
recent years: sport and entertainment.
2013 was a year of consolidation and growth for many of these brands,
thus demonstrating the great popularity they have enjoyed among audi-
ences and sponsors since theoutset.
Sport as a flagship
Under the umbrella of sport,
Atresmedia Eventos
is the home of various
events throughout theyear that, besides sharing sport as a common fac-
tor, also aim topromote thepracticeof sport in a recreational and enter-
taining environment.
The
CarreraPonleFreno
,whichwasheld for thefifth time in2013,was the
ultimate representationof this philosophy. It set anew recordonce again
withmore than 17,000 runners taking part, all of who came together to
raise funds for road safetyprojects.
Demarcha con El EstirĂ³n
was another successful race event. This sports
event for children and their families gathered 7,500 people at Parque
Warner inMadrid to raise awareness among parents and children of the
importanceof physical exercise for children.
2,500people took part in the 2nd edition of
Bico
, thus doubling its pop-
ularity.
