The activity took place within this facility, where residents benefit from medical and psychological care, along with a comprehensive approach aimed at their recovery and social reintegration. Through educational and employment programs, the organization works to help them build a stable future and prevent them from returning to the streets.

As the organization explains, “It is impossible to maintain healthy habits related to nutrition, hygiene, and rest when living on the street. This reality directly impacts recovery after an illness or medical procedure, adherence to treatment, and the ability to face the end-of-life process with dignity.”

Despite the harsh weather conditions, volunteers helped improve the facility’s garden by repairing fences, planting aromatic herbs, and preparing the soil for future crops.

They also spent the morning with the residents, getting to know them and learning about their daily lives in the housing program. Residents shared their personal stories and reflected on how an opportunity like this can truly change a life.
