Atresmedia collaborates with the Red Cross to provide assistance to all victims of the DANA weather phenomenon, which is wreaking havoc in several regions of Spain, severely affecting the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia, and Andalusia. These regions have experienced intense rainfall leading to floods, overflowing rivers, and significant damage to infrastructure and homes, leaving thousands of families in critical situations.
The recent heavy rains have resulted in fatalities, injuries, and substantial material losses. Efforts are now focused on rescuing and assisting those affected, as well as working to recover homes in the hardest-hit areas.
Emergency services, alongside the Spanish Red Cross, are evacuating thousands of citizens, who are being cared for in shelters set up by the Red Cross. So far, multiple teams have been deployed to provide over 250 shelter spaces, food, medical supplies, and assistance to those affected.
Atresmedia supports the Red Cross in fundraising efforts through its programs, news broadcasts, and advertising spaces across its TV channels, radio stations, and digital platforms. In doing so, Atresmedia demonstrates its strong commitment to providing the Red Cross initiative with all the necessary support.
