As part of this initiative, Atresmedia will promote the campaign on television, radio, and digital platforms during the second half of January. This awareness campaign aims to foster job opportunities for people with mental health conditions and eliminate barriers and limitations that prevent open conversations about mental health.
This initiative is part of the agreement signed between both entities, with the goal of raising awareness about the reality faced by people with mental health conditions and contributing to a fair and accurate public perception through media. By doing so, both organizations seek to encourage journalism professionals to portray a realistic image of this community in the news they produce, avoiding stigma and stereotypes.
The campaign encourages reflection on the importance of creating fair and inclusive work environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Additionally, as part of the collaboration agreement, Confederación Salud Mental España will provide specialized training for Atresmedia journalists based on the "Mental Health Style Guide for Media" published by the organization. This guide, designed for communication professionals, will serve as the foundation for sessions covering topics such as appropriate language use in news writing, examples of best practices, firsthand testimonials, and answers to frequently asked questions.
