The protagonists of the original La Sexta programme are people with Down Syndrome, Asperger or Cerebral Palsy who have passions,
projects and goals for which they fight every day. Each episode of the
programme brought viewers closer to the day-to-day routine of two protagonists
and the people around them. This way, viewers could join them in achieving
their life goals, acting as a necessary impulse to break down the social
barriers that still exist with regard to disability.
With their experiences, they showed that they
have no limits to achieving their goals, as they are real fighters who try to
live like the rest of their fellow citizens, something that more than 640,000
viewers on average could check in the first season.
For his part, Alberto Chicote showed his most
human side as the host of the programme, with his usual self-demanding
attitude. He was not only a facilitator in helping participants achieve their
goals but, keeping a relationship of intimacy and affection with them, he
firmly pushed them to give their best in their careers and reach higher.
After their time in 'Auténticos', the
protagonists of the programme added an unforgettable experience to their lives
and, in turn, they transmitted to the general public their life-transformative
example, with the help of the dissemination power of Atresmedia and its
commitment to equality.
