Atresmedia Audiovisual, thanks to its informative and entertainment offer, has consolidated its success during 2023, reigning in all its formats:
- In the television business, Antena 3 made it two years of leadership over its closest rival.
- atresplayer surpassed 600,000 subscribers and ended the year with 28.71 million unique visitors, thus maintaining its lead over its nearest competitor.
- Atresmedia Cine led the Spanish cinema box office for the fifth year running, grossing more than EUR 19 million.
- Buendía Estudios added further locations to its business outreach, namely the Canary Islands, through Buendía Estudios Canarias, and the Basque Country, through Buendía Estudios Bizkaia.
2023 has also been a year of great recognition for the Group's work. An example of this is that Atresmedia has been recognized by the prestigious North American magazine Newsweek as one of the most reliable companies in the world. In this way, the Company corroborates the success of its model and consolidates itself as one of the Spanish companies with the greatest projection and reputation at an international level.

Atresmedia Televisión once again led the way in news coverage in Spain and topped the table in credibility and trust, according to the prestigious Digital News Report 2023 prepared by Reuters Institute and the University of Oxford. According to the study, Antena 3 was once again the television channel to have earned the highest trust rating (51%), while laSexta was the second most trusted private channel in the eyes of the public (42%).
The long-standing Personality Media Image study placed Antena 3 as the best rated television channel in Spain for the 10th year running, with the channel coming top in 10 of the 11 categories analysed. Meanwhile, laSexta reached its highest position since October 2020, as the third most watched private channel in Spain and as the public’s second favourite channel overall.
In 2023, atresplayer launched a new design and expanded its live offering with the incorporation of 10 new free (fast) channels, which include 4 new thematic linear channels (, 5 more specific channels of specific programs and a Guest Channel, whose content will vary each month. Atresplayer has also launched Kidz, a fast channel with non-stop broadcasting of children's content. atresplayer is positioned as one of the most attractive platforms for the households.
Atresmedia Cine ended the year with a film investment of EUR 23 million across 11 feature films. It was a historic year in which the division grossed EUR 19.1 million at the box office and achieved a market share of 24%. Buendía Estudios premièred nine fiction and non-fiction titles, shot 10 productions and renewed production of Atresmedia Group’s daily live magazine show Y Ahora Sonsoles.
Atresplayer’s original series, Las Noches de Tefía, produced by Buendía Estudios, won the Diversity TV awards for its LGTBIQA+ visibility at mipcom Cannes
