Due to the serious humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian attack, the 6 NGOs that are part of the Emergency Committee (Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Educo, Médicos del Mundo, Oxfam Intermón, Plan International and World Vision) have made an appeal to all the parties involved to promote peace and avoid further victims in the armed conflict. The main goal of the Committee is to jointly channel the help of all those people willing to contribute to alleviate the situation of the victims of violence in Ukraine, as well as those who have been forced to seek refuge in neighboring countries such as Poland, Romania, Moldova or Georgia.
Thanks to the dissemination work that Atresmedia Group is doing, the Emergency Committee has raised 1,370,000 euros to respond to this humanitarian crisis. The first emergency responses focus on providing shelter, basic humanitarian aid, such as food or water, health care, psychological care and child protection, among other lines of action.
As a media partner of the Committee since its creation in 2015, Atresmedia broadcasts calls for solidarity in crisis situations detected by the Committee through all its communication channels (television, radio and digital platforms), in order to provide society with all the information on how to help in each case and offer support in raising funds. In this emergency, Atresmedia intends to be the loudspeaker so that the Committee, which has already raised one million euros, continues to receive donations to help the millions of people affected in Ukraine.

About the Emergency Committee
At the end of 2015, the Spanish Emergency Committee was created in Spain and currently 6 international NGOs such as Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Educo, Médicos del Mundo, Oxfam Intermón, Plan International and World Vision form part of it. The Committee was born to offer a rapid response mechanism in emergency situations that allows increasing citizen support in different humanitarian crises; act as a permanent link between NGOs, companies, the media and citizens; increase social trust in NGOs in emergency situations, being accountable for the impact of their actions, and act jointly as a benchmark for emergency aid in society.
